For any first time buyer, investing in your first home is an exciting but also daunting experience. With so much to think about, making sure the property lives up to your dreams can be a tall order. For this property, the GE Renovations team aimed to create a home that our client: Philippa, would be proud to call her own.

Located in the Crookesmoore area of Sheffield, this two up, two down terraced house was in need of a lot renovation work to reach the standard we expect from our projects. We began by stripping back the property to allow us to remodel certain features, such as the kitchen door openening, that were no longer up to building regulation standards. For the kitchen design, we maximised the amount of usable worksurface while still allowing plenty of room for a dining and entertaing area. In the living room, we replastered and painted to give it a fresh look and feel.

We then restructured the entire second floor of the property to include a spacious guest bedroom, beautiful modern bathroom, a utility / dressing room and a staircase up to the loft conversion.

For the loft conversion, our team added a flat roof to the rear of the house. This allowed us to add a master bedroom with large windows that offer great views across Sheffield. We then used the loft space at the front of the propety as a storage area to reduce clutter in the home and added a velux window above the staircase to help fill the property with natural light.
