Early in 2016, our client made the decision to relocate to be closer to her elderly mother. Deciding to renovate her mother’s home rather than buy somewhere new, Kim enlisted the help of our team to aid in bringing this property into the 21st century. 

With a focus on creating a home that felt light, bright and spacious while maintaining as much of the original structure as possible, our team designed a rear extension that capitalised on the stunning views across Sheffield afforded by this property’s location. The extension houses a modern kitchen complete with wooden work surfaces, brand new appliances and a central island perfect as both a practical space to prepare meals and as a focal point when entertaining guests. Above the kitchen we added 3 large velux windows to flood the space with natural light. 

Our team repainted the living room, hallway, stairway and bedrooms with a natural palette of ivory and stone colours that help make each room feel spacious and bright. Luxurious new carpets were added as well as new lighting fixtures throughout.

Upstairs we removed a partition wall to create one large master bedroom rather than two smaller rooms. Our teams also renovated the bathrooms to feature a powershower and bath.
